Here are a few ways to do this:

To post an avatar

Avatars can be a maximum of 250 x 250 so you can re-size your picture to that or this link will automatically size an avatar picture from your computer (free site)

  • “Browse” and choose the picture from your computer
  • Click “resize”
  • (you can’t use the URL from shrinkpictures.com, it doesn’t store your picture)
  • Save the picture on your computer. If you use ‘save as’ with a different title, you can identify your resized picture from the original.

Host your avatar picture on a URL, such as photobucket, at a size of maximum 250 x 250 & copy the URL address

There are 4 codes available under the picture (or you can click ‘share’ above the picture)

  • Email & IM
  • Direct Link
  • HTML Code
  • IMG Code

  • right click on direct link
  • Go to control panel, profile, edit avatar and paste the URL address in ‘Link Off Site’
  • Submit

 

To post pictures with your signature

PART 1

If you get a picture off the web by right-clicking on it and the properties uses a URL address, you can skip this first part and just use that or you can right-click on the picture on the web and save it to your computer.

To re-size a picture

  • Go to http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
  • Browse and upload the picture
  • Use custom and set the size you want ( as a point of reference the avatars are 250 x 250 )
  • Click Re size the picture
  • Save it to your computer If you use ‘save as’ with a different title, you’ll be able to identify your re-sized picture from the original.

Once the picture that you want is saved on your computer you need to host it as a url address – (you can’t use the URL address from shrinkpictures.com, it doesn’t store the pictures)

There are other sites that you can host pictures at, but to use Photobucket

You will need to set up a photobucket account http://photobucket.com/ (free site)

  • click on ‘albums & upload’
  • click on ‘choose file’
  • double click on the picture that you want to upload from your computer
  • optional – give your photo a title
  • click ‘return to album’
  • under your picture that you have uploaded, copy the IMG code

PART 2

  • Then go to the control panel board, profile, edit signature
  • Click on Img and paste that code between [img][img]
  • Click preview & your picture should be there
  • Submit

To create a series of pictures under your signature, just add the URL for each picture in the order that you want them, so it look like this

To post a picture with a message

Follow part 1 to get the URL code you need, then in your message add Img and paste the link between [img]url[/img]
